Every grandparent hopes to leave the world a little better for the children they love.
For Grandude, that journey began with his own grandkids—and one very special little dog named Cooper.
What started as simple bicycle rides through the neighborhood soon became something much bigger. As Cooper and Grandude explored local parks, winding bayous, and hidden trails, they noticed something that didn’t belong: trash scattered throughout the beautiful places families should be able to enjoy together.
Instead of riding past it, they decided to stop and do something about it.
Armed with a bicycle, a trash grabber, and a sense of adventure, Cooper and Grandude began cleaning up one piece of litter at a time. Along the way, they discovered that every ride was filled with opportunities to learn—about wildlife, plants, history, kindness, responsibility, and how even the smallest actions can make a big difference.
That simple idea became Cooper & Grandude.
Our mission is bigger than picking up litter. We want to inspire the next generation—our own grandkids and Little Dudes everywhere—to fall in love with nature, care for their communities, and believe they have the power to make a difference. Children who grow up exploring the outdoors become adults who value and protect it.
Cooper makes learning fun. His curiosity, playful spirit, and four-legged perspective help children connect with lessons in a way that feels like an adventure instead of a classroom.
Behind the scenes, Grandude isn’t working alone. His wife, affectionately known as Emmy by the grandkids, brings more than 30 years of preschool and kindergarten teaching experience. Together, they’re creating engaging, age-appropriate educational activities that help families, classrooms, and homeschool students explore science, nature, stewardship, and life lessons through real-world adventures.
Every video, lesson, neighborhood cleanup, and smile is made possible by a growing community that believes small acts of kindness can create lasting change.
